Diane Adderley is a trainer, psychotherapist and actor.
Di’s earlier background was in the creative arts, as a professional
actor and musician for 20 years. She is the founder member of Playback Theatre
Manchester and has regularly facilitated performances and workshops both
here and abroad. Some of her work abroad is sponsored by the British Council.
She specialises in Assertiveness Training, Counselling Skills, Team Building
and Using Psychodrama & Action Methods.
Zetta Bear has been working as a therapist and facilitator for many years. She has written extensively [books and articles] about issues around abuse and the effect on survivors. As a free-lance consultant she is very experienced training people to work with, and counsel, others. Her specialist subjects are: Creative Counselling, Working with Survivors of Abuse, Understanding Self-Abuse, and Suicide.
Paul Bliss works as an addictions therapist in an NHS Trust and as a self-employed trainer. His clinical and training work is mainly focussed on behaviour change, including Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention and other drug and alcohol interventions. He is a member of the international MI Network of Trainers and has had several papers on substance misuse published in professional journals.. He has extensive experience working with groups and training other group workers and facilitators. His other interests are Safe Working, Handling Conflict and Team Building.
Paul Borland has considerable experience of managing staff in a number of different contexts. For the past 10 years he has been a management consultant specialising in leadership and communication [including Public Speaking]. Paul now works as Leadership Coach and enjoys working with individuals. In addition he runs Constellation Training.
Julian Fox is a solicitor, and the Secretary to the South Yorkshire Probation Board. Prior to taking that post, he was in private practice for a number of years both in the South West of England and in Yorkshire. He has extensive experience of advocacy in the criminal courts and training others in court skills. He has run many legal courses, notably the Human Rights Act and various Criminal Justice Acts. Among a number of courses he teaches is ‘Advocacy in Courts’.
Tony Grapes has worked as a team leader and Senior Manager and now works for the Home Office as a Development Manager. He has been involved in training for many years, specialising in Organisational Change, Performance Monitoring and Standards, and Dealing with Under-performance. He is currently advising the Home Office on the development of Offender Management.
Michael Mulvany runs an organisation consultancy in the Lake District and has had many years’ experience coaching and training. He has worked as a Senior Manager in the Public Sector and as a CEO of a charity. He writes training materials for organisations to deliver in-house. His specialist interests are: Establishing Diversity in Organisations, Tackling Discriminatory Behaviour, Supervising Staff, Writing Skills at Work
Shelly Scott is a Senior Manager and specialises in the management of violent offenders and sex offenders. She has also developed training programmes during a recent secondment to the police. She is an experienced multi-agency trainer and can teach courses in the following specialist areas: The Management of Dangerous Offenders: Multi-Agency Public Protection; The Assessment of Risk; Working with Sex Offenders.
